Step-by-step process
How does it work?
An intuitive workflow designed to minimize time per package and maximize precision in every shipment.
Place the package
The operator places the package on the QuboVision platform. The system detects it automatically.
Simultaneous measurement and weighing
In less than 2 seconds, the three dimensions and weight of the package are captured with high precision.
Photography and code reading
The camera captures an image of the package and label. The reader identifies the barcode or reference.
Optimal rate calculation
The system connects with configured carriers and selects the most economical option based on weight, volume, and destination.
Label printing
The shipping label is automatically generated and printed with all package information and the selected carrier.

Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions (FAQ)
A parcel dimensioner, or DWS system (dimension, weigh, scan), is equipment that automatically measures the length, width and height of every parcel, weighs it and reads its label in a single operation, usually in under two seconds. It replaces the tape measure and the manual scale at the dispatch point, so every shipment leaves with its real measurements and weight on record rather than an estimate. QuboVision measures to ±1 cm and weighs to ±50 g, handling parcels from 5 × 5 × 5 cm up to 60 × 80 × 80 cm and 300 kg.
Dimensional weight, also called volumetric or chargeable weight, is the weight a carrier assigns to a shipment based on the space it takes up in the vehicle rather than what it weighs on the scale. It is calculated by multiplying length by width by height and dividing the resulting volume by a conversion factor each carrier sets in its tariff. The carrier bills the greater of the two figures, actual or dimensional weight, so a light but bulky parcel pays for its volume. When that volume is not measured at source, the carrier re-measures it on its own platform and applies a surcharge; measuring it before dispatch with a dimensioner removes that discrepancy and makes the invoice checkable line by line.
The standard manufacturing time is 2 weeks from order confirmation. This is in addition to shipping time depending on destination.
SleuthX enables integration with multiple logistics operators. Selection can be customized based on your commercial agreements. Additionally, the system automatically chooses the cheapest option for each shipment based on weight, volume, and destination.
All information is encrypted and stored on secure servers in the SleuthX cloud, complying with European data protection standards.
Dimensions (height, width, length), weight, measurement date and time, package ID or reference, suggested carrier and cost, history of measured packages, and integration with your logistics software (optional).
Yes. We can adapt the system to your needs, including integration with ERPs or e-commerce platforms, adjustments in base type or color, and custom reports from the cloud.
QuboVision
QuboVision automatically measures the dimensions and weight of packages. Thanks to its direct connection with the shipping cloud, it calculates in real time the most economical shipping option with available carriers.
Yes. The machine is integrated with the SleuthX cloud, where all measured package information is stored: dimensions, weight, date/time, images, and logistics data. This integration also allows optimizing shipping based on current carrier rates.
No. The machine requires no installation. It's designed to be plug & play: simply connect it to power and internet (via cable or Wi-Fi) to start using it.
Yes. It can be purchased with a base (as an autonomous station) or without a base, ideal for integration into work tables, counters, or order preparation lines.
The machine includes a high-precision scale (±50 g) with capacity up to 300 kg, ideal for avoiding overage charges in shipping rates.
